Bright pale straw.
Intense nose of elderflower and hints of citrus peels.
Medium bodied and lengthy finish of citrus and acidiy.

Bright pale straw.
Citrus peel and ginger, with hint of elderflower.
Medium finish and touch of floral bouquet.

Lawson's Dry Hills Sauvignon Blanc Reserve 2017

Bright pale straw.
Honey and apricot nose.
Finish off a little short due to bad vintage but overall good effort.

Bright pale straw.
Citrus peels and passionfruits, hints of floral.
Medium finish, with chalky mineral and citrus.

BLIND RIVER TEKAU SAUVIGNON BLANC 2017 - Lawsons Dry Hills


Blind River 'tekau' took the style of oak barrique ferment Sauvignon Blanc which is what was unknown and unacceptable in the early days of Sauvignon Blanc making in New Zealand. Today, this is acceptable with Cloudy Bay pioneering in this style which they still make called "Te Koko".

Pale golden, bright straw hue.
Complex aroma of vanilla, spice and mandarin peel, hint of green pepper from wild ferment.
Medium finish linger with warm spices and citrus.

Flinty green herbs and tropical fruits.
Light to medium finishing.

Year 2018
Flinty minerals with touch of tropical fruits.
Dry and slight weighty on the finishing.
