2013 Kuheiji Wine Barrel Aged (醸し人九平次)   2013 Kuheiji Wine Barrel Aged (醸し人九平次) (Aichi Prefecture, Japan) 醸し人九平次 ワイン樽熟成 (Burgundy Barrel Aged, DAMY) 100% Yamadanishiki Rice, 50% Polished, Alc 15% Golden Pour. Hawthorn, ripe figs and oak bouquet. Medium, fig, apricot and subtle honey, slightly dry sweet on finishing. Close to tasting an aged white burgundy wine.

Taka Junmai Daiginjo 貴 純米大吟釀   Taka Junmai Daiginjo Yamadanishiki (Nagayama Honke Brewery, Yamaguchi, Japan) 貴 純米大吟釀 山田錦 100% Yamadanishiki Rice, 40% Polished, Alc 16% Clear light yellow. Pear, apricot and white peach nose. Medium, chrysanthemum, nashi pear and honey. Fruity finish.

RISSIMO Junmai Daiginjo   RISSIMO Junmai Daiginjo (Matsumoto Sake Brewing Co., Ltd, Kyoto, Japan) 100% Aiyama Rice, 45% Polished, Alc 15% Clear, tint of light greenish yellow with light fizz. Floral, pear, apple and cider nose. Almost like a chardonnay with light fizzy feel. Nashi pear, citrus and hint of acidity. Enjoyable on it's own or pair well with seafood.

Kuheiji 醸し人九平 Junmai Daiginjo Eau Du Désir 2016   Kuheiji Junmai Daiginjo Eau Du Désir 2016 (Aichi Prefecture, Japan) 100% Yamada Nishiki Rice, 50% Polished Pour into Riedel Chardonnay Glass, clear and pale yellow. Nose has distinctive floral, nectarine, white peach and subtle grapefruit peels. Medium bodied, smooth texture, bright acidity, pears & peaches. Great on its own and also paired well with light lasting dishes.
